Rivera is named after two forces that have shaped the earth long before anything was made by hand, the flow of water and the stillness of the ground beneath it.
Water cuts. Over time, it presses its path into whatever stands in the way, leaving deep lines and raw edges, a surface that shows exactly where it’s been. The black onyx at the center is the opposite. Still, dark, and unmoved. Formed deep underground, it carries the quiet weight of the earth itself.
Rivera is the meeting point, a surface worn raw by time, anchored by a stone as dark and quiet as the ground it came from. Raw on the outside. Still at the center. Worn by the world, but not broken by it.
